TIME TO GATHER & GRAZE.
Our famous grazing tables are created on site for you by a Plattered Up food artist. We arrive 1-2hours prior to your event to create the grazing table. Over the years we’ve refined our style and we love to create abundant, rustic & beautifully balanced grazing stations to wow your guests. We fill our tables with food people love eating, using native foliage alongside rustic boards to really elevate each setting. We can also work in with your event’s aesthetic to ensure the catering fits with the vibe of your event.
COVID-19 changed the way we do a lot of things, including how we cater events. Plattered Up pivoted to provide our clients with gourmet, individually portioned catering options in a number of unique ways. We have some standard options, but can also work with you to create what you are looking for. These individual options don’t just stop at catering, we can tailor individual welcome packs, wedding gifts for guests with a difference, or corporate hampers.
At Plattered Up, platters are our jam! We love creating our beautifully displayed gourmet platters in a variety of selections and styles on our large scatter platters and our signature 1.2m long boards. This option allows us to pre make the platters for you to collect from The Deli Nook ready to go, or arrange us to deliver them to you at the event location (delivery charges apply). Many clients choose to purchase a number of platters to be scattered across different tables, or to put out at different times throughout the event. These are named ready to eat – catering in an instant!
CHEESE wheel CAKES
FOR LOVERS OF CHEESE.
What is better than cake? A cake made entirely of cheese. Over the last few years, gourmet cheese wheel ‘cakes’ have become the latest in celebratory food. These can cater for a few to over 100 guests depending on the wheel size, types and number of tiers. We can create the ideal cake and style for your needs and accompany it with all the good stuff, from dried muscatels, honeycomb, fresh fruits and florals, to incorporating it into one of our famous grazing tables. The options are endless and the style and wow factor is next level.
GRAZING TABLES FAQ’S.
So what are my grazing table options?
We have two main styles of grazing table:
THE FLAT OUT GRAZE
This style is done in one level on your table with disposable food grade paper underneath and enviro friendly bamboo serving implements. It’s a compact and abundant style with the size of the graze depending on the number of people it is catering to. The beauty of this graze is no props, no clean up! It’s also a beautiful, rustic and streamlined look. The benefit of this table? It’s a full and rustic style and absolutely no clean up whatsoever! (need pic)
THE HIGH FLYING GRAZE
This style utilises props and platters to give the grazing table height. It is not as compact as the flat out graze and instead focuses on a number of showstopper items featured throughout the table on raised boards. It is a refined and showstopping style with lots of talking points and cheese and accompaniment combinations. This style requires props to be returned to the Plattered Up team after the event. How much does it cost?
Our pricing includes: hire of table props/boards/knives etc, as well as fresh/dried foliage, table styling, cocktail napkins, bamboo boats & travel within the Mackay area. If you’re outside of Mackay, please ask for a quote on travel. Grazing tables are valued at $24 per person for our signature selections. Prices may vary depending on preferences and display requirements. Pricing for both styles is the same.
What foods are included in the grazing table selection?
By far our most popular graze is our cheese, meat and antipasto grazing table. This table is a gourmet platter on steroids! From hard and soft gourmet cheeses, to deli and cured meats, antipasto items, fresh breads, crackers, fresh and dried fruit and accompaniments. It really is the ideal catering option to cover all bases. We also do bridal brunches, breakfast bars, dessert bars, bread stations and can work with you if you have other ideas that you would like to incorporate. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know upon quoting so we can cater for this.
What do I need to do?
All we need on the day is your table set up in a cool place (preferably inside on warm days, because #Queenslandweather). We then do the set up and leave it for you to enjoy. We do have a clean up service option available to you if you would like us to return and clean the table for you. Prices depend on time and location. After the event, all props are required to be returned to The Deli Nook, Mackay within 7 days.
How many people do the grazing tables cater to?
Plattered Up grazing tables, similarly to a canape style function, are tailored to grazing through the event, not a full meal. Our grazing tables cater for 50 people up to 500 people. If you are after catering for groups of less than 30, please consider our scatter platters or long boards, that can be collected from The Deli Nook or delivered to you ready to go.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to heath regulations, we recommend food is consumed within two hours. Please do not leave food out for extended periods of time. Any food allergies or intolerances that need to be catered to must be disclosed to us at quoting stage, once we are on the premises, changes cannot be made to the table selection.
