We are all about embracing a low fuss, fun and social lifestyle.  Living in beautiful Mackay, we have the luxury of enjoying limitless pristine beach side, rainforest and rural locations. Why not enjoy some gourmet food there as well, or even in the comfort of your own home?

We created Plattered Up in 2016, it remains our event and catering arm of the business. We create food that is to be shared with loved ones from our famous cheese, meat and antipasto share platters, to workplace catering, romantic picnics for two, gift hampers and gift platter boxes to 100+ guest grazing stations at large events and weddings.  Our mission is to provide outstanding, beautiful food, that is easy and fuss free.

Have some creative flair yourself? Great! That is why we opened our retail space The Deli Nook in 2019. We wanted our beautiful customers to finally have access to gourmet items not previously found in Mackay that we use on our platters and on our grazing tables. This arm of the business is a café and micro deli that focuses on all things platter and entertaining. We have our cheese fridge with the best cheeses on offer from Australia and around the world, smallgoods, antipasto, vinegars, oils, you name it. We also have a selection of our platter boxes and gourmet nibble plates available in store every day for you to take home and enjoy. Not to mention, amazing boutique coffee and sweets to enjoy with friends.

Plattered Up and The Deli Nook focus on the social side of food, food is to be shared and enjoyed.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are restrictions on shared food/catering for events.  Please contact us if you are wanting catering for a larger gathering such as a grazing table and we will talk you through your options.  We keep abreast of the regulations as they change and always ensure we work in line with requirements to ensure you have a tasty and safe event.

Time to Graze

Our grazing tables are created by a Plattered Up food artist, that arrives at the event location to set up and displays an array of fresh, seasonal and local produce for your event. We design our signature grazing tables in a number of variations, from our most popular –

• cheese, meat, fruit and antipasto table (our signature selection)
• breakfast/brunch
• fruit displays
• dessert tables
• ploughman’s lunch displays
• Bread stations

Each table takes approximately 1-2 hours to display depending on the size.
Our grazing tables cater for 30 people up to 200 people. Minimum size is our grazing table for 30 guests. Grazing tables are valued at $24 per person for our signature selections. Prices may vary depending on preferences and display requirements. If you are after catering for groups of less than 30, please consider our scatter platters or long boards, that can be collected from The Deli Nook or delivered to you ready to go.

We ask the grazing table be positioned in a cool, shady area or inside and preferably air conditioned. Once we have set up and you are happy with the display, we leave it in the host’s capable hands. We collect display items the next day/s at a prearranged time.
Please note these are grazing tables, and similarly to a canape style function, are made for grazing through the event, not a full meal.

• Travel costs apply out of the immediate Mackay area.
